How to hold the pick/plectrum:

Things to remember:

• Hold the pick between your thumb and index finger only. The other three fingers should never touch the pick.
• Don’t make a fist. Open your hand.
• The tip (pointy part) of the pick should be pointing out the side of your thumb (towards the strings when in the playing position).
• Have one centimetre of pick tip showing. The rest of the pick should be covered by your thumb.
